Talent Acquisition Manager

A Typical Day

The Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for partnering with leaders across the business, driving recruitment strategies to attract high performing candidates to meet the needs of the business strategies and objectives, providing a positive employee and candidate experience. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Understand business needs to ensure the effective attraction, selection, and development of a diverse, and sustainable talent pipeline.
  • Support retention initiatives, particularly within first year.
  • Participate in strategic planning and execution for resourcing a greenfield. 
  • Participate in the Extended HR Leadership Team, informing and impacting the overall employee life cycle.
  • Develop the team, growing capability and building succession pipelines.
  • Influence and communicate closely with hiring managers by sharing best practices, using an employee and customer-focused approach. 
  • Prioritize the customer experience through increasing quality of hire, decreasing time to fill through process excellence, providing recruitment status updates through metrics and progress reports, measuring and analyzing results, and uncovering opportunities for improvement.
  • Own the end-to-end recruiting process by embracing new technologies to ensure that the sourcing, recruitment, assessment, offer, onboarding and communication processes run smoothly, contributing to a positive candidate experience and high-level customer service to the business.
  • Provide best practice interview skills training for hiring managers and the Talent Acquisition team as needed to ensure an objective hiring process and an excellent candidate experience.
  • Design, develop and deploy innovative solutions and initiatives to support talent acquisition programs/projects, including internship and community outreach.
  • Negotiate external agency agreements/contracts and other vendor services.
  • Responsible for managing all aspects of LinkedIn and other external recruitment sources and job boards. 
  • Oversee Hilmar Cheese immigration program.

What You Will Need

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field plus 5 years related experience OR Master’s degree in related field plus 1 year related experience.
  • Experience in full life cycle Talent Acquisition with 3-5 years of demonstrated success in leading a Talent Acquisition team.
  • Ability to foster trust, influence, coach and guide candidates, business leaders, and team.
  • Proficient working with Microsoft Office Software such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Problem solving skills, critical thinking, and self-initiative
  • Excellent written and verbal communication - presentation skills, interpersonal skills; high quality document and report preparation.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Bachelor's degree plus 7 years related leadership experience in HR OR Master's degree plus 2 years related experience
  • Manufacturing background a plus.

Physical Demands

The work is primarily performed in an office environment and the physical demands are characteristic of a mostly sedentary role.  Specific details of the essential functions of the position is available in the Job Safety Analysis, made available on request.
