A Typical Day

The Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for partnering with leaders across the business and driving recruitment strategies to attract high performing candidates to meet the needs of the business.  You will influence and communicate closely with hiring managers by sharing best practices and using an employee and customer-focused approach. Understand business needs to ensure the effective attraction, selection, and development of a diverse, and sustainable talent pipeline.

Job Responsibilities

•Lead the end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring smooth operations and a positive candidate experience, while delivering exceptional customer service to the business.
•Develop and implement sourcing and employment brand strategies to identify, engage and attract talent from early-career through experienced hires.
•Provide training and support to talent acquisition team members to enhance their skills and improve team performance. Prioritize the customer experience through increasing quality of hire, decreasing time to fill through process excellence, providing recruitment status updates through metrics and progress reports, measuring and analyzing results, and uncovering opportunities for improvement.
•Execute business priorities, workforce planning outcomes, and lead and partner on projects that align with Company initiatives.
•Collaborate, coach and consult with hiring managers to prepare staffing strategy for existing and future needs.
•Provide best practice interview skills training for hiring managers and Talent Acquisition Specialists as needed to ensure an objective hiring process and an excellent candidate experience.
•Build and maintain relationships with external recruitment agencies, job boards, and other third-party vendors. Negotiate agreements and contracts with external agencies and manage vendor services.
•Design, develop and deploy innovative solutions and initiatives to support talent acquisition programs/projects, including internship and community outreach.
•Ensure that all recruitment activities adhere to legal and ethical standards, including equal opportunity employment laws and internal policies. 
•Oversee Hilmar Cheese immigration program.

 

What You Will Need

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field plus 5 years related experience OR Master’s degree in related field plus 1 year related experience.
  • 3 years experience in full life cycle Talent Acquisition with demonstrated success in leading a Talent Acquisition team.
  • Ability to foster trust, influence, coach and guide candidates, business leaders, and team.
  • Proficient working with Microsoft Office Software such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Problem solving skills, critical thinking, and self-initiative
  • Excellent written and verbal communication - presentation skills, interpersonal skills; high quality document and report preparation.
     

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Bachelor's degree plus 7 years related leadership experience in HR OR Master's degree plus 2 years related experience
  • Manufacturing background a plus.
  • SAP SuccessFactors experience

Physical Demands & Work Environment

The work is primarily performed in an office environment and the physical demands are characteristic of a mostly sedentary role.  Specific details of the essential functions of the position is available in the Job Safety Analysis, made available on request.
