A Typical Day

Manage functions and aspects related to hold and release program/product release, customer approval and food safety. 

Job Responsibilities

• Manage functions related to product release, incoming goods, customer approval, and specification approval
• Daily gathering, assembling and analyzing production notes,  PINS, and cheese grading reports 
• Daily gathering, assembling and analyzing in-process and finished product chemistry, and microbiological laboratory reports
• Decide on the finished product lot disposition using reporting and SAP system review. 
• Participate in Non-Conformance Product Tracking, New Product & Process Approval System and Product Release Program (Production & Laboratory).  
• Maintain records to show compliance with programs.
• Participating in Incoming Goods approval and maintaining records to show compliance with the program
• Work closely with the Customer Service Department to achieve customer and shipping needs. 
• Work closely with Supply Chain and Central Receiving Departments to achieve incoming goods receipt.
• Must be fluent in SAP applications as they pertain to lab operations, inventory movement, product specifications, product release operations and incoming goods operations.
• Work with minimal supervision
• Establish effective working relationships with internal and external customers and other business contacts
• Demonstrate organizational skills with the ability to comply with deadlines and manage multiple priorities
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Manage and maintain confidential information
• Maintain professional standards and demonstrate sound judgment during peak periods of activity
• The annual completion of OSHA required safety training.

What You Will Need

• English skills must be proficient to understand, read, write and speak English
• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution required 
• Ability to work weekends
• 1 year of experience in production environment 
• 1 year of experience in Quality Assurance 
• Software program proficiency in: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, SAP Required
• Tactical knowledge of production operations management for quality and food safety
• Completion of HCC internal technical training programs 
   

What Will Put You Ahead

• Experience in dairy manufacturing
• 1 year of Product Release experience
   

Physical Demands & Work Environment

Sedentary: 
The work is primarily performed in an office environment and the physical demands are characteristic of a mostly sedentary role.  Specific details of the essential functions of the position is available in the Job Safety Analysis, made available on request.
