Information Technology Manager

A Typical Day

The Information Technology Manager will manage a team of 6 to 8 people team and provide leadership in SAP Basis, SAP Systems, and Infrastructures, Databases (SQL and Oracle), SAP Business Intelligence area and also provide technical leadership in support of current and future SAP related projects and will collaborate and coordinate closely with both functional and technical teams to deliver a stable, highly available business ecosystem.

Job Responsibilities
  • Manage, design and maintain SAP Business Suit on HANA suit of applications and HANA database and its infrastructure administration, backup and restore, alerting, monitoring and disaster recovery processes.
  • Provide leadership, technical vision, architecture, management, support and short and long-term direction for all global infrastructure that includes SAP & Non-SAP environment, databases, reporting & analytics solutions.
  • Develop and maintain the strategy, vision, roadmap for all the technology standards. Lead the technical infrastructural architecture and systems design for the successful implementation of IT initiatives.
  • Specific duties include developing and implementing measures to ensure high availability for mission-critical SAP and related systems; fully documenting and standardizing operational procedures with appropriate internal controls to ensure operational stability, and facilitate infrastructure activities in support of ongoing SAP release and deployment projects. This is accomplished through extensive knowledge of SAP technology, an open yet results-oriented program, and a project management approach, and the ability to effectively work with a multi-site dispersed team and cross-functional IT leadership to support all HCC’s users. This position works closely with the other functional center of excellence and business heads and the Director of Information System to ensure successful continuity of operational excellence and project delivery.
  • Ensure the continuous and secure operation, administration and maintenance of the company’s computing and networking infrastructure, including development of Security, Privacy, Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plans.
  • Activities include leading the planning, analysis, troubleshooting, integration, installation, configuration, operations, and maintenance of the SAP pipeline, change management (CAB).
  • Design, develop and maintain the SAP Solution Manager (e.g. ChaRM, OCC), SAP monitoring infrastructure (agent versions, patches).
  • Design and implementation of enterprise compute platforms, storage, networks, active directory, network security, messaging systems, server virtualization, and hybrid cloud infrastructure for SAP and Non SAP Environment.
  • Performance monitoring, capacity planning and workload forecasting of HP, Cisco, Dell servers, VMware, Windows Servers, Nimble Storage, EMC, Cisco Networks,  Barracuda Load Balancers, security appliances, endpoint security solutions, O365 productivity Suite, and SAP MDM systems
  • SAP and Non SAP technology infrastructure availability monitoring for a 24x7 production support, fault tolerant, business continuity and disaster recovery.
  • Responsible for managing a team of DBA professionals (SQL and Oracle environment), providing leadership in maintaining current database systems, troubleshooting issues, designing new databases, ensuring database availability, ensuring data integrity, implementing database changes, managing security, and providing on-call support
  • Establish a SAP business intelligence strategy to drive decisions across the enterprise, and develop a roadmap for a more robust strategy to add value to the organization through customer centricity. Deliver insightful and timely customer, market and business intelligence solution that enables effective business decision-making and facilitates competitive advantage.
  • Lead business requirement gathering and solution architecture efforts to define and implement business analysis and data model for reporting using SAP BI, BobJ and Tableau.
What You Will Need
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field plus 7 years related experience, OR Master’s degree and 3 years related experience.
  • Experience in managing SAP Basis, HANA, SQL & Oracle databases and SAP business intelligence, Windows, Linux, EMC, Cisco UCS and related IT infrastructure technology.
  • Strong understanding of SAP ALM and operations methodologies in an environment using SAP Solution Manager with ChaRM and Operation Control Center supporting and administration of a wide variety of SAP applications and technology components such as SAP ECC, APO, BW, SRM, SAP BusinessObjects, NetWeaver Portal, Process Orchestration, Gateway/Fiori, LVM, Web Dispatcher and HANA and strong experience of leading projects e.g. Support pack / Enhancement pack etc.
  • Experience in managing Azure cloud infrastructure and hybrid environment.
What Will Put You Ahead
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field plus 10 years related experience or Master’s degree plus 5 years related experience.
  • Professional certification or education in finance related area.
  • SAP Basis Certification, and  ITIL Certification
  • PMP certification and SAP Finance Reporting Experience
