A Typical Day
The Customer Solutions Representative is responsible for providing effective customer service by using knowledge of company products. This includes processing orders from customers as well as supporting internal/ external sales group(s) while ensuring customer requirements and company customer standards are maintained at all times.
Job Responsibilities
- Receive, enter, confirm and manage sales / purchase orders and portals from internal/external customers in a knowledgeable and professional manner. Coordinate shipment timing, verify pricing/credit, shipping terms and any additional requirements to achieve superior service levels.
- Partnership and management of inventories for effective sales requirements balancing internal (especially operations, sales and supply chain teams) and external (customers, agents, freight carriers and logistics teams as example) perspectives.
- Partner with Corporate Quality team on customer specifications, product status/inventory release dates and customer complaints, generate C of A’s for sales inquiries and customer requests.
- Troubleshoot situations and recommend actions as concerns arise between customers/agents/partners, logistics and sales, ensuring orders are processed, shipped and received in a timely manner. Assure fluid communication with affected groups.
- Coordinate shipment of orders with the Export Department, either foreign or domestic, to ensure timely generation of required documents.
- Support Sales and Sales Operations teams in tactical execution of customer relationship duties. Provides insights resultant with routine interactions.
- Maintain master data of customer information in SAP. Utilize operational reports in routine job functions to execute duties.
What You Will Need
- High School diploma and 2 years of related experience OR Associates degree plus 1year of related experience or a Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience with MS Word, Excel, Outlook is required.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while managing and maintaining confidential information in a fast paced work environment
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Customer Service experience in a professional environment communicating via telephone and email.
- Logistics and/or export experience
- Experience in food and dairy products
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
