A Typical Day
This position is a member of the Total Rewards Team. This position is the primary consultant ensuring the company’s compensation programs are competitive, compliant, and remain aligned with its compensation philosophy. This position will conduct market research and analysis on compensation benchmarks and trends. Researches salary range data through multiple sources, evaluates FLSA classification, and leads annual wage assessment processes. This role is responsible for managing most aspects of the company compensation systems to ensure the highest level of service to employees. Produces both ad hoc and routine reporting to meet business needs.
Job Responsibilities
•Work closely with the Director of Total Rewards as well as external consultants to support and provide them with compensation analytics and insights.
•Work closely with our TA team and HR Business Partners working collaboratively providing recommendations on offers for new hires and transfers.
•Implements compensation processes and projects including the annual compensation review, promotions, transfer, gender pay analysis and equity reviews for our salary basis and hourly paid populations.
•Implement bonus and recognition processes.
•Conduct job evaluations and make compensation recommendations for existing positions and employees. Conducts FLSA testing.
•Implements compensation modeling and budgeting.
•Collaborate cross-functionally in audit procedures to ensure data integrity between HR and payroll systems. Is integral in annual compliance testing processes and supports both internal and external audit inquiry.
•Collaborate in the preparation of total compensation/total rewards statements.
What You Will Need
•High School diploma plus 6 years’ related experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a Business related field plus 3 years’ related experience or a Master’s degree in a related field of study plus 1 year related experience.
•Excellent multi-tasking, time-management and prioritization skills.
•Knowledge of government regulations and compliance standards affecting compensation programs (FLSA, CA Fair Pay Act, etc.)
•Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, with strong working knowledge of other MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Access)
•Data analysis skills that include data collating, inspection and benchmarking
•Experience working with salary surveys and benchmarking across multiple industries
•Proficiency of database maintenance to include common tables set-up and report writing
What Will Put You Ahead
•Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource, Business Administration or related field and 5 years’ related experience, or a Master’s degree plus 2 years related experience.
•Data analytics skills that include data visualization, data modeling, data mining and statistics. The ability to take complex data from multiple sources and create business solutions using information.
•Strong proficiency of HRMS systems to include tables set-up and report writing; knowledge of other related systems (timekeeping and payroll)
•Professional in Human Resources (PHR), CEBS or other related certification
