Associate Manufacturing Optimization Analyst

A Typical Day

The Associate Manufacturing Optimization Analyst is responsible for providing analysis of manufacturing data. This person uses data analysis skills and expertise to identify business opportunities, promote and strengthen problem solving efforts, and enhance the company’s understanding of existing and new data.

Job Responsibilities
  • Create, compile, and maintain data sets for easy access by others.
  • Create tools and systems to retrieve and organize data so others can easily utilize it to solve business problems.
  • Analyze complex data sets using process knowledge, advanced analytics, and statistics to reach concrete conclusions and draw out complex correlations. 
  • Publish periodic analyses of technical process data in a summarized format.
  • Draw findings, conclusions, and recommendations into written and verbal reports that are easily understood.
  • Interact with cross functional groups to scope data analysis requirements. 
  • Demonstrate self-leadership and the ability to operate independently.
What You Will Need
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Mathematics, Business, or Science and 1 year experience in process analysis, analytics, engineering, science or related field 
  • Ability to travel by air and car up to 10-15% of the time to execute job duties.
  • Proficiency in any one of the following required: data science, statistics, analytics, or programming.
  • High proficiency using Microsoft Excel for statistical analysis
What Will Put You Ahead
  • Masters of Science in Engineering, Mathematics, Business, or Science
  • Proficiency with an advanced Statistical software package (JMP, Minitab, etc.)
  • Black Belt or Six Sigma Certification
  • Demonstrated experience leading process/continuous improvement efforts
  • Demonstrated experience in advanced analytics or data science techniques.
  • Project Management certification or experience
  • Knowledge of database principles to encourage efficient data structures and retrieval techniques.
