Accounts Payable Clerk (PT)

A Typical Day
The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for processing all invoices and non-payroll payments.
Job Responsibilities
•Process and verify invoices, ensuring they are matched with purchase orders and receiving documents.
•Research statements, inquiries, and/or requests as necessary.
•Ensure all invoices are properly authorized before processing.
•Perform timely and accurate data entry of invoices into the accounting system.
What You Will Need
•High School Diploma plus 1 year of accounting experience.
•Understanding of internal accounting controls.
•Strong attention to detail and superior follow-through.
•Proficient in MS Office applications: Word, Excel and Outlook.
•Strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy
•Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
What Will Put You Ahead
•Experience with ERP systems, specifically in Accounts Payable processing (e.g., SAP).
•Knowledge of related financial processes and best practices.
•Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
The work is primarily performed in an office environment and the physical demands are characteristic of a mostly sedentary role. Specific details of the essential functions of the position is available in the Job Safety Analysis, made available on request.
