A Typical Day
As Account Manager I, you will be responsible for providing leadership and managing current accounts in a category and account group. You prospect and develop decision maker relationships, identifying new growth opportunities, new products, and new go-to-market strategies), and enhance profitability through gross margins and sales volume with customers in your space.
Job Responsibilities
•Evaluates, recommends and implements sales plans and campaigns to maintain and/or grow the sales and profitability of a category and account segment in our business.
•Review, evaluate, report results, and request support needed against specific sales objectives on a continuous basis.
•Develop strategies to further develop the consumption of our valued added line of products. This includes effectively utilizing all functional resources that are available to market such products.
•Work with internal teams to resolve any issues with customers as they arise. Assures a positive customer experience.
•Visit customers on an appropriate basis to provide sales service and technical product consulting on applications to expand value added sales volume and ensure customer satisfaction.
•Manage and actively participate in regional and/or internal trade shows to maximize sales opportunities and promote the company products and technology.
•Seek out opportunities and then work in partnership with various individuals/teams within the greater organization.
What You Will Need
•Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years’ sales or related experience or Master’s degree plus 1-year related experience.
•Ability to collaborate effectively with business partners (R&D, Marketing, Finance, Operations)
•Ability to operate effectively and contribute within a team environment.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
•Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the willingness to work within an established management group are required.
•3 years’ Sales experience.
•Has a proven ability to implement sales process
•Demonstrated ability to interact with the customer, understand customer success and seeks out the opportunity to engage with prospects and customers whenever possible.
What Will Put You Ahead
•Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years’ related experience or Master’s degree plus 2 years’ related experience.
•Previous sales experience and demonstration of sales success in the dairy industry.
•Experience with SAP and Salesforce software.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
