Warehouse Supervisor

A Typical Day

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for Facilitating and coordinating information flow regarding customer’s needs between corporate customer service, warehousing and the cheese and whey production staff.  Works with grading team to help insure product quality meets customer’s needs.  Must encourage a high level of communication with all members of the distribution team and cheese production staff. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Works with customer service staff, warehouse staff and production and distribution supervisor to reconcile all inventory discrepancies
  • Participates in all physical counts
  • Develops and maintains procedures for warehouse functions
  • Supervises forklift staff and coordinates forklift drivers schedules to maximize staff and through put of trucks
  • Works closely with corporate customer service and Warehouse Manager to ensure accuracy of inventory and shipments
  • Develop and mentor professional growth & advancement of hourly department staff
  • Serves as back up for inventory and warehouse operators when needed
  • Responsible for battery and forklift fleet maintenance
  • Responsible for maintaining sanitation of warehouse(s)
  • Annual completion of OSHA required safety training.
  • Complete company safety training program(s).
  • Annual completion of Food Safety overview training
  • Completion of First Aid/CPR/AED Certification
  • Completion of Emergency Response Training to include 24 hr initial, 8 hr refresher each year
  • Participates in onsite leadership training
  • Promote Company Culture
  • Achieve common business goals through cooperative alignment with all departments.

What You Will Need

  • English skills must be proficient to understand, read, write and speak English
  • High School Diploma/GED plus 2 years related experience, OR Associate's degree in related field plus 1 year’s related experience, OR Bachelor's degree.
  • Active/past member of department safety team
  • Experience as an On the Job Trainer
  • Has completed/in the process of completing HCC Level 1 Leadership training
  • In good standing regarding performance and attendance
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Software such a Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, as needed
