Predictive Maintenance Technician

A Typical Day

The Predictive Maintenance Technician is responsible for checking all the equipment that you response for, daily startup check list, work on PM’s, and troubleshoot mechanical issues. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and performs collection of Pd.M. routes/programs.
  • Works with maintenance teams toward improving existing PM and Pd.M. programs as well as developing procedures and/or training to technicians to support improvement activities.
  • Collects route data points correctly and performs additional testing to verify diagnosis.
  • Effective use of vibration, ultrasound, Infrared equipment, i.e. set up routes, alarm limits and diagnose faults and comparative data for proper recommendations.
  • Mastery with precision laser alignment.
  • Recommend improvement opportunities identified through the collection of data to ensure Pd.M. program efficiency and cost reduction. 
  • Work with maintenance team to validate corrective work found through PdM activities is accurate. 
  • Participates in reliability improvement projects to meet/surpass KPI targets.
  • Participates in the development of criteria for and evaluation of equipment and technical MRO suppliers and technical service providers. Perform acceptance tests and inspection criteria for new installations.
  • Demonstrates good customer service skills and motivation.
  • Work in unison with the HCC and Maintenance Team Mission Statements to ensure excellence and to promote quality thinking and actions.

  • Help coach and train teammates and participate in on the job, buddy training.
  • Place high priority on food safety and sanitation by understanding and executing HCC’s food safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
  • Hold self and others accountable to HCC’s food safety & sanitation guidelines and Policies by communicating any food safety incident, observation, or opportunity to your leadership team or teammates.
  • Participate in food safety and sanitation root cause analysis and improvement activities when required.
  • Prioritize safety above all other job duties by having a safety first approach at all times.
  • Report any safety issues, observations, opportunities to your teams and follow up.
  • Participate in departmental safety teams.

What You Will Need

  • English skills must be proficient to understand read, write and speak English
  • High School diploma, or GED from an accredited institution
  • 1 years of Industrial manufacturing experience
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Software such as Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Must be able to work weekends, holidays and rotating shifts (day/swing/graveyard)
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Vibration analyst Level II
  • MLT Level II or Equivalent
  • Proficient in maintaining accurate records.
  • Tactical knowledge of production operations.
  • Proficient in SAP Master Data reporting.

  • Pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, handling and grasping, twisting/turning, repetitive bending.
