A Typical Day

The Logistics Dispatcher facilitates all inbound carries based on daily ship schedule. Works closely with the Warehouse/Logistics Supervisors, guard shack, customer service department and the Warehouse staff.

Job Responsibilities

•Provides courteous customer assistance to both internal and external customers.
•Demonstrates the ability to effectively communicate through verbal and written skills.
•Demonstrates organizational and time management skills in managing multiple task within relatively short timelines.
Works effectively with team spirit at all levels of the organization  
•Prints daily ship schedule and prepares all necessary paperwork for outbound loads (pick tickets, COA’s, manifests, outgoing inspection sheets).
•Makes adjustments to orders if/when product is damaged as necessary and notifies Customer Service for inventory adjustment transaction.
•Maintains driver schedules in accordance to scheduled dock times.
•Responsible for the truck driver check-in for verification of orders, dock assignments, sealing trucks, and load out paperwork accuracy.
•Communicates all late or no show trucks to Customer Service
•Inventory control of truck seals and manifests
•Verifies accuracy of completed paperwork, confirms it in SAP, scans to Customer Service and then electronically filed to SharePoint.
•Ability to assume leadership responsibilities, such as;
•Problem solve as necessary
•Recognize workload variability and need to adjust staffing accordingly
•Ability to work with minimal supervision.
•Complete annual OSHA Regulatory training and Company safety program training.
•Complete annual OSHA regulatory safety training. 
•Complete annual  Food Safety overview training
•Active participation and ownership in your training and development program and associated activities, classes and events, which will be held before, during, after shifts and during scheduled days off.  
•Help coach and train teammates and participate in on the job, buddy training.
•Place high priority on food safety and sanitation by understanding and executing HCC’s food safety and sanitation policies and procedures. 
•Hold self and others accountable to HCC’s food safety & sanitation guidelines and policies by communicating any food safety incident, observation, or opportunity to your leadership team or teammates. 
•Participate in food safety and sanitation root cause analysis and improvement activities when required.  
•Prioritize safety above all other job duties by having a safety first approach at all times. 
•Report any safety issues, observations, opportunities to your teams and follow up.  
•Participate in departmental safety teams.
•Promote Company Culture
•Achieve common business goals through cooperative alignment with all departments. 

What You Will Need

  • English skills must be proficient to understand, read, write and speak English
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Software such as Word, Excel and Outlook
  • 1 year recent inventory control experience with MRO materials or related field.
  • Ability to lift 45lbs

What Will Put You Ahead

  • High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • AA degree (or equivalent work experience) in Business Administration or related field.
