Dairy Procurement Coordinator

A Typical Day
The Dairy Procurement Coordinator is responsible for Coordinating day-to-day activities in support of the quality, yield, technical and mission objectives of Hilmar Cheese Company with focus on outside milk and dairy ingredient procurement.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for daily updating of inventory forecasting and milk ingredient models.
- Assist in planning and forecasting outside dairy ingredient procurement.
- Produce value-add reports and tools to help educate and inform the wider business.
- Maintain and Communicate schedule and inventory changes.
- Responsible for the settling and recording of Sweet Cream and Whey Cream.
- Responsible for PO/SO generation and price recording of dairy ingredients.
- Coordinate shipping/transportation with customers, suppliers, and internal departments.
- Assist Procurement Manager with pay structures and other purchasing activities.
- Participate in Milk Team meetings.
- This responsibility is not limited to a standard workweek.
- Annual completion of OSHA required safety training.
- Promote Company Culture
- Achieve common business goals through cooperative alignment with all departments.
What You Will Need
- Bachelors in Finance, Business, Dairy Science, Ag Economics or related field plus 3 years related experience OR Master's degree.
- Proficiency in using MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
What Will Put You Ahead
- Bachelor's in Finance, Business, Economics or related field plus 5 years related experience OR Master's degree plus 1 year related experience
- Dairy or food manufacturing industry experience
- Master's degree
Physical Demands & Work Environment
The work is primarily in an office environment and the physical demands are characteristic of a mostly sedentary role. Specific details of the essential functions of the position is available in the Job Safety Analysis, made available on request.
