Training and Development Coordinator (Maintenance)

A Typical Day
The Training and Development Coordinator is responsible evaluating, developing, implementing and sustaining effective and efficient training programs. Measure, track and report training performance to business partners. Create and conduct training sessions to certify and quality employees in required skill sets. Ensure trained employees are competent and confident to a predetermined level of proficiency.
Job Responsibilities
•Supports the administration, coordination, documentation, and follow-up of training and skills development for both exempt and nonexempt levels throughout the operations. Partners with other Training Coordinators and Administrators to develop and deliver programs throughout HCC.
•Responsible for the training of new hires in the areas of Safety, Food safety, and Technical/Operational Skills to the levels of competency agreed upon with leadership.
•Partner with and build relationships with Department Management OJTs, Plant Trainers, Subject Matter Experts from other departments, and/or outside services to support Department Management with training plan development, plan execution, record keeping, required resources, tools and programs to bring department employees to necessary levels of competency.
•Oversee and manage respective Plant Trainers. Develop their ability to improve our training programs, effectively train, assess employee’s skills base, etc. This should be achieved through mentoring, coaching, leading, developing, teaching, etc.
•Develops classroom material and instructs employees on workmanship standards, process procedures, and operations to ensure that the employees are certified or qualified to an acceptable level of proficiency.
•Conducts training sessions, identifies and attempts to circumvent various problems that could manifest themselves in an actual job situation if not corrected during the classroom session.
•Responsible for annual recertification involving classroom training and proficiency demonstrations as well as for conducting training for state license exams, keeping records of, and for submitting state license renewals as appropriate per department.
•Continually improve upon the training program in respective areas. Assess, monitor, gather information, come to consensus with business partners, develop, implement, trial and measure training success.
What You Will Need
•High School Diploma plus 4 years’ related experience OR Associate's degree plus 2 years’ related experience OR Bachelor's degree plus 1 year related experience.
•Effective verbal and written communication skills
•Ability to organize and prioritize to achieve results and deadlines
•Great attention to detail
•Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with a commitment to completion of projects on a timely basis
•An upbeat, positive, outgoing and personable demeanor with the ability to interact and relate well with coworkers
•Proficient using MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
What Will Put You Ahead
•Bachelor's degree plus 2 year related experience OR Master’s degree in related field
•Completion of HCC internal technical training programs
•Experience working with LMS systems
Physical Demands
The role has periods of time when the work environment is sedentary and conducted in an office environment balanced with frequent occasions that require prolonged walking or standing, lifting/ carrying/handling moderate weight objects on a regular basis. Is required to wear PPE and have a regular presence in manufacturing and warehouse environments in both temperature controlled and uncontrolled locations.
