Materials and Receiving Warehouse Supervisor

A Typical Day

The Materials and Receiving Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for Supervise the Central Receiving & Maintenance Materials teams and support the Warehouse Manager in managing supply chain operations at our Dalhart production site.  This encompasses all material receiving activities, material warehouse operations, material movement and tracking responsibilities, material trial support, and suppler relations. Position ensures receipt, coordination, and safety and integrity of materials onto the campus.  Supports our operations with maintenance and service trials and is local contact for supplier relationships as guided by corporate policy.

  • Active participation and ownership in your training and development program and associated activities, classes and events, which will be held before, during, after shifts and during scheduled days off.  
  • Help coach and train teammates and participate in on the job, buddy training.
  • Place high priority on food safety and sanitation by understanding and executing HCC’s food safety and sanitation policies and procedures. 
  • Hold self and others accountable to HCC’s food safety & sanitation guidelines and policies by communicating any food safety incident, observation, or opportunity to your leadership team or teammates. 
  • Participate in food safety and sanitation root cause analysis and improvement activities when required.  
  • Prioritize safety above all other job duties by having a safety first approach at all times. 
  • Report any safety issues, observations, opportunities to your teams and follow up.  
  • Participate in departmental safety teams.

What You Will Need

  • High School Diploma and 4 years related experience, OR Associate's degree in related field plus 2 years related experience, OR Bachelor's degree and 1 year of related experience OR equivalent experience.
  • Able to demonstrate leadership, critical thinking, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to make appropriate decisions in a timely manner.
  • Advanced knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, as needed.
  • Active/past member of department safety team
  • Experience as an On the Job Trainer
  • Ability to lift 55lbs

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Has completed/in the process of completing HCC Level 1 Leadership training
  • BA/BS degree in a related field of Business 
  • Proficient in SAP    

Physical Demands

This role requires physical exertion, exposure to potentially hazardous conditions or safety hazards. The majority of time is spending walking or standing.  There are occasional periods of sedentary work.  Is required to wear PPE and have a regular presence in manufacturing and warehouse environments in both temperature controlled and uncontrolled locations. Must frequently interact with people verbally.  Specific details of the essential functions of the position is available in the Job Safety Analysis, made available on request.
