Facilitator- L&D (Texas or Kansas)

A Typical Day

The Learning & Development (L&D) Facilitator supports the successful implementation of enterprise learning initiatives by delivering high-impact, competency-based training programs. This role focuses primarily on employees in site and manufacturing environments, ensuring they develop the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in their roles. The L&D Facilitator brings training to life through interactive workshops, on-the-job learning experiences, and continuous feedback, fostering engagement and skill growth across the workforce.

Job Responsibilities

•Strategy Execution: Deliver training programs aligned with Hilmar’s organizational learning strategy and competency framework, ensuring consistency across functional groups and locations where appropriate.
•Facilitate Workshops & Training: Deliver engaging, competency-based training sessions that promote teamwork, leadership, problem-solving, and performance accountability. Adapt content to suit various teams, departments, and roles while aligning with organizational values.
•On-the-Job Learning: Facilitate real-time, hands-on learning experiences that reinforce classroom instruction and help employees apply new knowledge in their daily tasks.
•Builds or Customizes Materials: Supports the Lead Facilitator in designing/creating slide decks, workbooks and training activities.
•Track Progress & Feedback: Monitor employee learning through structured feedback loops, coaching interactions, and performance observations. Modify delivery approaches to address individual and team development needs.
•Support Training Effectiveness & Reporting: Gather participant feedback, analyze training completion rates and retention, and ensure timely data reporting. Partner with the Lead L&D Facilitator to continuously improve program content and delivery based on learning outcomes and workforce needs.
•Stakeholder Consultation: Consult with leadership to obtain feedback on trainings.
•On-the-Job Learning: Consult/collaborate with leadership to reinforce classroom learning with practical, real-time development opportunities in the workplace.

What You Will Need

•Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years’ related experience or equivalent experience.
•Three years’ experience in delivering training or facilitating group learning.
•Strong facilitation and communication skills across diverse audiences.
•Familiarity with adult learning principles, instructional techniques, and training evaluation.
•Experience using a Learning Management Systems (LMS).
•Ability to adapt training content to meet different learner needs.
 

What Will Put You Ahead

  • 5 years of facilitation experience in site-based or manufacturing environments.
  • Certification in instructional design or training facilitation (e.g., ATD, DDI, or similar).
  • Experience supporting competency-based learning programs.
  • Proficiency with eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate).
  • Experience creating or adapting content for diverse adult learning styles and varying literacy levels.
  • Familiarity with behavioral coaching models and peer learning techniques.
  • Bilingual skills
  • Strong understanding of learning evaluation models (e.g., Kirkpatrick Model) and learning analytics.
  • Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) to deliver and track training programs.

Additional Role Details

  • Travel (between Dalhart and Dodge) - 40-60% of the year
  • Eligible for Remote Work - Yes, hybrid schedule (Remote 20-40% of the time) 
  • Location - Either Dalhart, TX or Dodge City, KS
