Dryer Operator

A Typical Day

Operate all plant equipment related to dryers, processing finished product, scaling and loading all bulk/tank trucks efficiently to reduce downtime, meet production goals, and meet customer expectations.

Job Responsibilities

•Keep augers clean, scrape and remove products from floors each shift
•Keep all processing areas (grinders, sifters, bins) clean and organized
•Keep warehouse and bagging areas clean and organized
•Operate all equipment within established procedures
•Complete all necessary production recordkeeping in a timely manner
•Follow all plant safety requirements to protect self, coworkers, and company assets
•Follow product quality assurance requirements
•Computer proficient
•Promote company culture
 

What You Will Need

 

  • English skills must be proficient to understand, read, write and speak English
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Must be able to work weekends, holidays and rotating shifts (day/swing/graveyard)
  • Basic math skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Time management and organizational skills
What Will Put You Ahead
  • High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Prior feed mill/grain experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical processes

  • Exposure to dust, fumes, smoke, gases, or other irritating substances.

  • Exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity depending on time of year.

Working surface is primarily concrete. Where standing is required, there are rubber mats which are one-half inch thick.
